Are those Raccoon hats real?????

After much persuasion my Mom was able to talk my dad (AKA big baby who can't live without my Mom) into letting her stay after Easter. So, I got to have my Mom here for our everyday life. I loved it. I realize how much I miss having her here to go shopping (since I hate to shop), to go to movies and just to talk to in person. The boys and I drove her home on Thursday and Aliya got to stay and spend some quality time with her Daddy. The drive to Lehi is not all that exciting, but we had a good laugh at a gas station in Beaver. Here are the boys in some raccoon hats they were selling. I have seen hats like these in movies, but I actually have never seen one in person. It was pretty fun to have the boys try them on. And NO we didn't buy them.

Here's a cute picture of my Granters in Papa's glasses.

My Mom was sick the entire time she was here. She was a trooper though cause she didn't let it get in the way of enjoying the trip. On Saturday I woke up feeling sick to my stomach. I got to drive all the way home feeling like I was going to throw up. That's always fun. Oh and I forgot anything good to listen to. I had my choice of eighties/cheesy nineties or country. Since I have to be in a depressed, I just broke up with my boyfriend or pregnant sort of mood to listen to country, I opted for the cheesy rock. Which surprisingly I sort of enjoyed listening to music from footloose and Mannequin. I usually really enjoy the time I drive back and forth to my parents. The kids sit in the back and watch a movie and I get time to myself. Thanks to Shanna for watching Aliya after school. She had a lot of fun. Thanks to my Dad for letting my Mom stay. He doesn't owe me a birthday present this year. Thanks to my Mom. I love having her here. I wish it could be all the time.

Easter fun!

Here are a few pictures from Easter. I know it's a little late. It's been a long week. Landon had to show off his baseball skills.

What cute cousins.

Here are their cute Easter clothes. We had my Grandparents and my Aunt and Uncle over so the kids were too excited and would not cooperate in picture taking. We tried Dad.
This is the frustrated look of a little girl with two little brothers. I have a feeling she will have this look a lot over the years.
We had a great day with lots of food, family and sing star of course.

Our busy Saturday before Easter!

Our day started with our cute little girl performing at the Arts Festival. This is what I love about this performing class, they are always performing around the community and it has helped Aliya so much with her confidence.

Cute girls. Aliya did so good even though she wasn't feeling well. She was worried she didn't do well and she told me she was "lazy dancing and singing" because she was sick. I think she did awesome.

Neal played in a basketball tournament for the fire station. The tournament was to help raise money for local youth groups. We had a lot of fun watching Neal play. Landon took these pictures of his daddy. They were so proud.

The kids got a little bored at times so they had fun taking pictures of each other.

Silly boy!

Goofy Goofy kids!

Cousins and best buds!!
After the basketball game we went to see Horton Hears a Who! Such a cute movie. That night we took the kids down to the school and did an Easter Egg hunt. Here is a picture of the girls. Neal was in the picture making a crazy embarrassing face (Big shocker! hehe :)), so I cropped him out. What a nice wife I am .
Grant was so excited to see what was in the eggs. He was not very interested in finding a lot of eggs, he just wanted to get a few and start eating.

And there's the candy!
This is Landon's "Mom, hurry up I am way too busy for this" look.

Easter Egg Hunt's are so fun.

James and his twin! Grant looks just like James did when he was little. James is such a great uncle. He is living in our basement apartment right now, so if anyone knows of any cute girls, he's available. :)Grant found an egg after looking at it for about five minutes.

Cute Aliya girl! Aliya and Landon were a little harder to catch with the camera than Grant. They are not featured as much in the Easter Egg Hunt.

Uncle James trying to do tricks.Nana trying to join in on the fun.

It was a long day and everyone is tired and ready to go home. We had a great time.

Want chicken??

We have bags and bags of drumsticks stuffed into my small freezer. One of the fireman Neal works with had a heads up on a diesel full of chicken legs that wrecked and they needed to find homes for all the chicken. Lucky us.

Our Spring Break!!

We have had a good time this week. The weather was beautiful, we found a new fun park and we had fun with friends and family.
We were at Walmart and saw this interesting bus with different religious views written all over it. I think if you click on the pictures you could probably see a little better. I couldn't really tell whether it was anti Jesus or pro Jesus. Maybe a little of both. I wish the owners had been around because I sure had a million questions running through my head about this bus. Wow! Oh and it was for sale if anyone is interested. Hehe :)

Aliya invited her bestest friend Macey over for a sleep over. These girls always have such a great time together. They never fight, which is a rarity with eight year old girls. Macey is such a good kid and we love having her over.
Aliya has been begging me to let her play night games with the neighborhood kids. So we called Brooks (Aliya's crush) over and played night games and had root beer floats. Yummy!!

Cute girls. Landon must have taken these because I don't remember taking them myself.
What goof balls!

You can't really tell, but there is an I pod between them. Macey had one ear piece and Aliya had the other. So cute. This is how they cleaned up their blankets from the night.

Landon decided it would be fun to try his skateboard down the slide. And it was.

Josh had to try it also.

Just look at that beautiful sky. This was another one of Landon's pictures.

This is Landon's buddy, AJ. As they get older they get along so much more and love to be around each other. What handsome boys.

This is what Grant was up to during Spring Break. No that is not mud, it's paint.

It is a full time job just keeping up with his messes. We had a great week. Now it's back to our schedule. I can't wait till summer.

Where did he come up with these names??

Landon has had an imaginary friend named chi chi for about six months or so. We are pretty sure he does not actually see him. We think he has created a personality for this boy and just likes to tell stories about his adventures with Chi Chi. Lately a new friend has come into play. His name is Shanky. Unlike Chi Chi, Shanky is mean and tends to make bad choices. Everything bad that happens is Shanky's fault. For example, I have a cut on my finger. I don't know where I got it, but Landon is pretty sure Shanky gave it to me. Landon tells us stories daily about these two very different boys. We try to use this to our advantage and we tell him if Shanky continues to make bad choices he won't be able to be friends with him anymore. Sort of an example of how not to act. We never initiate the topic of Shanky and Chi Chi, but we do play into his imaginary friends when he talks about them. I have heard this was normal and it is actually a sign of a great imagination. I hope we are not hurting him by not telling him they are not real friends. What do you think???

These are my favorites. Who are yours???

My favorites!!!

David

Syesha

Jason

Brooke
I love this show! Last night was an exciting one. If you have a Tivo and you did not watch the show live, stop reading. I think the right people went home last night. (Sorry Mist, I know you love Danny) Danny had an interesting personality, but needed to learn some humility. I think he got a crash course last night. He was shocked he was going home. The Kady girl had an attitude problem also, but I thought she had a good voice. You gotta love the Britney Spears impersonation. Anyways, I look forward to next week to see what happens.

Just thought I would brag a little.........

We have had

Sunny

Hot

Beautiful

Short wearing weather

And we are lovin it!!!!

Wow, that was easy.

I think I can officially say that my baby is potty trained. With the exception of the night time pull up, he is in underwear all the time. I think we are even out of the stage where we have to ask him every five minutes if he has to go potty. It took Grant the longest only because it had to be his idea. He wasn't going to let me tell him when it was time for him to be potty trained. One day he just told me he wanted to wear underwear and he has been in them ever since. I just can't believe how fast he is growing up. He will start pre school this next school year. He is our last and so I think it makes all of these milestones just a little bit harder.
