FF Neal Cazier

At the beginning of the year, after a lot of testing and time, Neal became a full time firefighter for the City of St George. I am so incredibly proud of him. Being the family of a firefighter has been an adjustment for sure. It has been an adjustment for Neal also. It's a balancing act, but we are so thankful for the opportunity!

The city held a ceremony for the new full timers and also for the firefighters who were being promoted to captain, which included Dan. Dan is an amazing firefighter and I have no doubt he will make an amazing captain!
The proud parents!!
I am so incredibly thankful for a husband who works so hard for our family. We are so lucky to have him. The kids love being able to tell all their friends that their daddy is a firefighter. When they get sad that daddy isn't home, I just try to remind them that the job he is doing is so very important to the people in our community and to our town. They can be proud of that and so should Neal! We love you babe!!

Grants 6th Birthday

My baby boy is 6. SIX?? How did this happen? I am so confused how my baby is now six and going to first grade this next school year. Grant is the laughter in our family for sure. There is not a day that goes by where we are not cracking up because of something he did or in amazement by what comes out of his mouth. Oh to live a day in his brain...

We love your crazy ways and we love the absolute joy you bring us everyday. We love you baby boy!
His favorite thing is hot chocolate. So the morning of his birthday he got chocolate milk and whip cream!

The birthday boy and his favorite sis!
We are so proud!! ;)
Grant with his present!!

Zurang got him a pillow pet and wrapped it so cute!!!
Love that smile!!

Landon got really sick with strep and Neal was at the station, so poor Aliya had to stay home with Landon while we went bowling. Grant invited Spencer and Zurang and Gin came out with us also!
Blurry, but cute!!
We had such a great time!!
Silly boy!
Cute Spence!!
Daddy made a cake before he went to the station!

Funny Grandpa!!
Even tho poor Landaloo was sick, I think Grant ended up having a great day! Love you Grant boy and stop growing so fast!!

Aliya's 11 year old photos!

Jaime took some lovely pictures of Aliya for her 11th birthday! They turned out so good. My only complaint is that she looks too dang old. :)

This is a face she makes all the time. Love that Jaime captured it!

Dream big baby girl!

Aliya's 11th birthday!

It is NOT possible that our little girl is 11. We told her the aging stops now. There is no more. I am not sure we could handle 12. :) It's totally with in our rights as parents to stop aging, right???
Here is the birthday girl before school. Zurang helped me decorate the night before. It was so nice to have someone to help me and to talk to me while I decorate till all hours of the night. haha..
Zurang gave Aliya some Origami paper and wrapped it up in Origami. :)
The flowers Nana and Papa sent!
Aliya, we are so very proud of the beautiful, smart, talented young woman you are becoming. We are constantly amazed by you!
We went to Pizza factory for dinner and invited the fam! The kids love this fire truck.
Daddy and Aliya!! :)
Zurang and Aliya!!
Savannah and Aliya!
These girls are too funny! They make me laugh all the time!
Silly girls!!

Pizza Factory made her an 11 pizza! How fun!

Yummy!!
Some of the party goers!!
Happy Birthday to you....

Licking the candles is a must!!
Love that smile!! I hope you had a great birthday baby girl! We love you very much!!

Zurang's visit (January 2011-March 2011)

We had some friends ask us if we would ever consider hosting a Korean exchange student for a couple of months. We were nervous to do it, but we were very excited. When Zurang came, it was like she had been a part of our family for a long time. She was here to teach at Desert Hills jr high. She is an english major in Korea. It was the best thing our family has ever done. She is so sweet, smart, beautiful and we learned so much from her, I am sure way more than she learned from us.

We have very few pictures with her because she did not like her picture taken. The night she was leaving we took a bunch so we would remember her (like we could forget :))

I really miss her. She spoke English so well and I really enjoyed having someone there to talk to and to run errands with.
Grant absolutely loved Zurang and she absolutely loved him!
So sweet!!
She really did like Neal a lot, but this was the fiftieth picture we had taken so she looks a little uncomfortable. haha :) She really understood Neal's sarcastic ways. She has a brother that is very similar to Neal.
Zurang is the sister Aliya never had! They had a great time together and shared the love of crafts and all things creative!
Zurang with the wild ones! She only has one older brother so I am sure these kids were a shock to her. She just thought everything they did was so funny and cool.
Zurang gave this cute floppy ear bunny to the kids, but Grant pretty much took over it and he won't let anyone else touch it. I think it reminds him of Zurang and he misses her a lot!
Every Sunday we would make a Korean dish. So tasty! This night we did Sushi. No raw fish for us, but we did veggies and ham and egg!
Trying to wrap the sushi. Zurang had never really cooked before she came here. She was one of the few that still lived at home and so her Mom would cook for her or she ate out! She learned a lot and I learned a lot. It was a fun thing we did together!
This is Zurang's friend Gin, which we got pretty close to while they were here. He is such a great guy. Gin and Zurang taught at the same school and actually went to the same college in Pusan. They are actually a couple now back in Korea. We couldn't be happier to hear that! We are fully expecting to be invited to the wedding in the future. :)
Gin brought over a calligraphy set and taught the kids to write their names and some common phrases in Korean.
Aliya having a turn with the Sushi!
Gin.

After this night, his teacher told me that Landon was writing his name in Korean and English on all his papers. So cute!
We golfed!!

One of the crafty things Aliya and Zurang did together! They did so many different origami shapes.
Aliya had an art project for school and Zurang helped her.
We all joined in with the clay.

We miss her lots and wonder everyday how she is doing. We keep in contact through email and even get to skype with her every once in a while. She is super busy with school and we are so proud of her. We really want to save save save and maybe one day visit Zurang in Korea! She is forever a part of our family and we will never forget her!
