Landon has had an imaginary friend named chi chi for about six months or so. We are pretty sure he does not actually see him. We think he has created a personality for this boy and just likes to tell stories about his adventures with Chi Chi. Lately a new friend has come into play. His name is Shanky. Unlike Chi Chi, Shanky is mean and tends to make bad choices. Everything bad that happens is Shanky's fault. For example, I have a cut on my finger. I don't know where I got it, but Landon is pretty sure Shanky gave it to me. Landon tells us stories daily about these two very different boys. We try to use this to our advantage and we tell him if Shanky continues to make bad choices he won't be able to be friends with him anymore. Sort of an example of how not to act. We never initiate the topic of Shanky and Chi Chi, but we do play into his imaginary friends when he talks about them. I have heard this was normal and it is actually a sign of a great imagination. I hope we are not hurting him by not telling him they are not real friends. What do you think???

That is so funny, when Allysah was little she had an imaginary friend named Sharlie. We thought it was so funny because we had never even heard that name. When we moved in our house and our neighbor came over and introduced herself and her name was Sharlie, it was so weird. It totally threw me. I love the names he has made up. He has quite the imagination and ya know he is pretty smart to figure out that he has a good one and a bad one and that he blames stuff on them. What a cute kid!
Let him have fun with it haha. Unless he starts getting carried away with it and is really convinced that they are real. If he just talks about it every once in a while, I don't think it will hurt. Just my suggestion haha. I don't know anything about kids or raising them so don't look at me haha. Landon is so funny! He is a great kid! You have three wonderful children! They are awesome! Even though Granters argues with everything I say haha. He's a kid, they are supposed to haha. They are really great kids!
Landon is so cute! Those are the best names, I love Chi Chi! I remember when Caydence had her imaginary friend, John, I don't know whatever happen to him. Well I can't wait to hear more about Shanky!
