It has been so long since I last posted and I am so behind, but I am going to attempt to catch up in the next couple of weeks. I am going to start with our Fall!! Aliya, as you already know, had her opening night of Annie at Tuacahn on August 28th!! After such a long audition, waiting, rehearsals, waiting she finally got her chance on stage. To say I am proud of her would be an understatement. It was absolutely incredible to see her up on that BIG, HUGE stage with all those amazing actors. She had the most incredible experience. She learned SO much and more importantly she had the time of her life. Tuacahn put together some pictures for us since were not allowed to take them ourselves. This was actually her opening night. She was Orphan #15 in the pictures. They didn't do any of when she was Kate, darn!
That's her in the upper right hand corner!

"We love you Ms. Hanigan!" I didn't realize how much smaller she is than the other Orphans till I saw her on that big old stage!
She didn't really like being Orphan 15 because she got lost in all the other orphans! When she played Kate she was front and center of everything. I guess that's the way she liked it. Hmm...shocker!! haha :)
Here are a few pictures we got after one of her shows!! She sure makes a cute Orphan!
Nana and Papa were so very proud of Aliya!!
This was her midnight snack after her first show!! YUM!! I don't even want to know what is in that thing!
My goal was to get a picture with everyone that came to see her, but there were so many people each night that it was impossible to catch everyone before they left! If you have any photos with Aliya at the show, send them my way! Check her blog for backstage pics of her and her friends! The other Orphan girls were so sweet with her. She was their little sister and I never worried when she was with them. Her last show was bitter sweet! I was relieved that she would get a bit of a break, but I knew she would miss it. She will never be the same after this. Aliya is already asking me when her next audition is. Oh no, we are in trouble!

Omygoodness...that looks so professional. How exciting. I would have loved to have done something like that when I was younger. I had to settle for being a little munchkin soldier in a high school play of the 'Wizard of Oz' instead. hehe You must be sooo proud of your little star!!!
WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!!! Gosh, what an *AMAZING* opportunity for Aliya! And probably for all of you! She is so adorable and so talented - I bet seeing her up there performing was just beyond belief! What a great experience for her and so many wonderful memories for her to always have. And probably the first of many more performing experiences too! CONGRATS to Aliya! And I *LOVED* every photo!
xoxoxo
oh I love these pics... so super sad to have missed this!
