For Aliya's birthday Jada gave Aliya the movie Mary Poppins and on it had a note that said "Congratulations, you are going to California to audition for Mary Poppins on Broadway." Haha.... Rebecca and Jada invited us to stay at their beach house in Laguna beach. Rebecca found out about an audition for Jane Banks and we thought it would be a fun adventure for the girls to audition. Of course the girls were excited about the audition, so we decided to make a fun weekend of it!

Nana and Papa got Aliya an American Girl for her birthday! She has always wanted one and since we were in Cali, it was the perfect time to go to the American Girl store and spend some of her birthday money! Rebecca getting her hair done at the salon!

This is the studio where the auditions were being held! I was so very proud of Aliya. She went into the room confident and sounded amazing!! She is braver than I will ever be!!
They thought it was funny there was a shopping cart just sitting on the side of the road without a super market near by!

We had an absolutely wonderful weekend!! What a great experience for Aliya to audition for something like this! She held her own that's for sure! Thanks Rebecca and Jada for inviting us!!
