This is the post I have been waiting to write for a long time. Last summer we SURPRISED the kids with a trip to Disneyland and the beach. Neal and I had known about the trip for a couple of months. There were a couple of reasons why we didn't want to tell the kids. #1 It was their first time to go to Disneyland and we really wanted to make it memorable. #2 Okay, Okay.... There really is only one reason why we didn't want to tell the kids. We didn't want them to drive us crazy with questions like.... "How many days left till Disney?" "When are we going to Disney?" "Why can't we go to Disney TODAY?" So we waited till the morning we were leaving. I packed up all their clothes in secret and woke them up at 7 a.m and told them to get dressed and come upstairs. We had their backpacks sitting in the living room with a disney travel tag on each and told them there was a clue on the backpack to where we were going. They were soooo excited of course.
The day we got there we went straight to the beach, even before checking into the hotel. We probably could of skipped Disney and just had a beach vacation. We all love being there so much. Our friends, the Facers, met us there and we had a great time. It was a little cold, but that didn't stop us. Warning: There are a lot of pictures!!

Thinking about this vacation makes me so happy! We just had the best time and enjoyed every moment we had together!

So fun! I still can't believe how close you were to me and I didn't get to see you! hehe Maybe next time right? Newport Beach is our favorite beach, even though it's hard to find parking! You should go to the wedge the next time you are out here...it's a few streets down and you can see all the boats coming into the bay. =o) Your kids would love it!
